My years of experience in municipal governance and as a Councillor in Qualicum Beach means that I will hit the ground running. As the Town Liaison on the Official Community Plan Committee, I have a deep knowledge of the Official Community Plan (OCP), which was completed in 2018 after much input and consultation with the residents of Qualicum Beach. I am committed to upholding the vision of the document.

Active Board Member helping to grow the Qualicum Beach Residents' Association membership, doubling in size since 2018; hosting community conversations on climate and health care.
Co-Chair of the Qualicum Community Education & Wellness Society (QCEWS) with the Early Learning Childcare Coalition in Oceanside (ELCCO) Table, successfully procuring 37 new childcare spaces; In coordination with the Qualicum Beach Seniors' Activity Centre, developed three intergenerational program opportunities including Kids in the Kitchen, Ukulele and Knitting; submitted a proposal in response to the Town's RFP for St. Andrews Lodge.
Worked with citizens to keep the historic St. Andrews Lodge.
Volunteered with the Hamilton Marsh Committee.
While Councillor for Qualicum Beach from 2014 to 2018 I:
Voted consistently with the Official Community Plan.
Advocated for a Housing Task Force and Housing Needs Assessment in order for Council to make informed development decisions.
Was Instrumental in organizing the Public Information Meeting for supporting a refugee family.
Advocated for installation of safety improvements on Laburnum Road for students and citizens.

We each have our own reasons for choosing Qualicum Beach. Over a decade ago, my family chose to return to the exceptional Town where I grew up.
I have a degree in Business Administration from Simon
Fraser University and worked 15 years for the City of
Burnaby, gaining expertise in municipal governance and administration. There are only 17 months left in the present Council’s term, and the successful candidate needs to be someone who can hit the ground running.
My track record of civic involvement, my prior service as Councillor, and most of all my love of this special place we call home, uniquely qualifies me.
