Reasons I am running for Council.

Activities while serving on Council:

Reasons I am running for Council.

Raised in Qualicum Beach by parents who strongly valued community engagement and volunteerism, I have an innate desire to serve and give back to my community.

I believe my professional background in local government, with insights, knowledge and expertise in the workings of municipalities, along with my previous experience as a councillor qualify me for the role.

I believe community spirit and Qualicum Beach’s unique small town character needs to be protected, nurtured and celebrated.

I support growth and development that is aligned with the vision and policies in the citizen developed Official Community Plan (OCP).  During this term, the OCP will be revisited so it is very important to elect people who value the vision and direction of this Plan.

Experience working for you:

My Background

We each have our own reasons for choosing Qualicum Beach. Over a decade ago, my family chose to return to the exceptional Town where I grew up.

I have a degree in Business Administration from Simon

Fraser University and worked 15 years for the City of

Burnaby, gaining expertise in municipal governance and administration.

My track record of civic involvement, my prior service as Qualicum Beach Councillor, and most of all my love of this special place we call home, uniquely qualifies me.
